Rental Policies

Check in begins at 3 P.M. and Check out is no later than 10 A.M. We ask that you honor these times, so we have the time necessary to clean the accommodations for the next guests. We thank you in advance for your cooperation in adhering to these times.

Adults only. Please, no pets.

No smoking in rooms, on decks or on porch - smoking in the cottages could result in a substantial extra cleaning charge to you!. Smoking is only allowed at pool area.

NOTICE TO GUESTS: This property is privately owned. The management reserves the right to refuse service. The management will not be responsible for accidents or injuries to guests. The management cannot be responsible for property loss of ay kind. Guest agrees to terms in confirmation letter and Checkout Procedures in guest notebook.
FURNISHINGS: Guests are responsible for costs incurred due to excessive cleaning, late checkout and any damage to the units, grounds, furnishings, equipment, and household items therein, which occurs during the guests’ period of occupancy, excluding normal wear and tear. Guests understand that any damage which is discovered to exist, or which occurs during Guests’ occupancy should be reported at the earliest possible time to the rental office.

WHEN THE BIKES ARE USED: Guests absolve Seahorse Cottages on Sanibel of any responsibility for injuries they might sustain while riding these bicycles while I am a guest of the Seahorse Cottages on Sanibel.arking is provided for one car for each cottage - limited parking does not allow space for trailers or RVs.

Payment Policy
Your credit card will be charged a 50% deposit within 24 hours of making a reservation.
Balance due on arrival.
All reservations are subject to 11.5% state and local tax.
There is a resort fee of 7.5%.
There is a $30 cleaning fee.
There are no refunds for late arrivals or early departures.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations can be made with 40 or more days notice for a full refund of the deposit . Cancellations with less than 40 days notice forfeit the deposit.

If you feel there is a possibility of your cancellation, we strongly advise purchasing travel insurance. This can be obtained online at www.insuremytrip.com or at other travel sites.
This includes, but is not limited to, the use of bicycles and adult tricycles, which are provided for use only by registered guests of Seahorse Cottages who are physically fit, competent, and not impaired by drug or alcohol use.

Hurricane Policy:

If a named Hurricane is officially tracking to Southwest Florida, and a mandatory evacuation is ordered during your stay, we will issue a refund for any unused nights you had previously scheduled with us.
